Vinyl floor tiles – Cleaning tile floors can be very tedious and time-consuming chore, but well worth the effort. One must be careful in choosing the right cleaning method. You want to clean tile and grout yet keep the grout from breaking down. With a little elbow grease, hopefully your floors free of dirt, soot, most stains and marks.

Then, sweep loose dirt into a pile and remove. Also use a vacuum attachment at the bottom of the baseboard and floor. Move surface of the vacuum cleaner to the lowest setting and vacuum tile. Then, mix equal parts warm water and vinegar in a large bucket. Fill a bucket with water to wash the vinyl floor tiles. Wring the mop out as much as possible.

Mop the vinyl floor tiles side to side and up and down to get between the grouting. Also rinse the floor with clear water. Again, wring the mop out as much as possible. Then, allow tile and grout to dry. Try not to saturate the grout. You may want to use a cloth or sponge to soak up the excess water. Prevent chastened hands by wearing gloves. Seal the joints to repel spills and dirt stains. For small, stubborn stains, mix a little baking soda and water into a paste. Use a small brush and circle paste on the stained area. Remember to rinse it well.
