Marble Floor Tiles Grout

Jul 21st

Marble floor tiles – Like many floor tiles, marble tiles require grout to prevent water damage to the floor and stop the tiles from rubbing against each other, potentially damaging them. Because marble is a natural stone, it is porous and can absorb some of the grout as it is applied. To prevent this from happening, apply a sealer to the plates before spreading grout. This will help to release the grout, so you can clean it up without damaging the floor.

Scoop little grout on the marble floor tiles with a grout float or rubber grouting tool. Hold the float at an angle to the marble. Slide grout over the surface of the plates and control between the joints. Push the grout from either side of the trail to ensure even coverage. Hold the float plate of marble that you press the grout in the joint to pack it in. Be aware of the wide joints or broken corners of tumbled marble to ensure complete coverage.

Wet a grout sponge with rounded corners. Squeeze out excess water so the sponge is damp but not dripping. Wipe each marble tile with a side of the sponge for a passed over. The floor tiles should match the splendor of the loose washer; if a haze exists, rinse the installed tiles with clear water again.
