Stick on floor tiles – Choosing flooring for your home can beautify and increase value of your home. A flooring option that most all DIY’ers can do it “Peel and Stick” floor tiles. They are very cheap compared to other options and these days you have so many options in color and quality. Measure your room for square footage to buy right number of tiles. Be sure to add 10% for waste. Use your tape measure and marker in middle of room find.
Have a dry fit in both directions of center line to see how your stick on floor tiles will land. You want to cut edge of tiles to be on edge of space. You can adjust center line no more than a tile width, so you will have less cutting or so cut tiles will be symmetric on both sides. If you choose to cut around door linings, you need a good pair sissiors. Best option is to use a jamb saw (see my article on laminate flooring to use a jamb saw) to cut door casings.

Once you determine where you want vertical center line, draw a horizontal line in same way as vertically. Starting from this intersection carefully lay edge of first stick on floor tiles on two intersecting lines and lay it down slowly. You need to peel backing until you are able to keep tile down. Next tile should be butted up against first tile and make sure everything is square in space.
